That’s it! Christmas 2014 Part 1 is done! Christmas Day spent with my beautiful family = my 3 sisters, my mum, my husband, brothers in law, nieces and nephews!
Christmas comes at such a wonderful time of the year doesn’t it! What more could you ask for to finish the year than spending it being merry with those you love most dear! Christmas Day on my side of the family always includes a roast lunch with plenty of potatoes, roast lamb, veges, lashings of gravy and delectable desserts! This year, we kept to tradition, mostly, but we tried to keep the oven cooking to a minimum during these past hot summer days. So it was roast lamb on the spit and 14 hour slow cooked beef brisket for the main event! And oh my, they were just awesome!!! The beef brisket hubby and my twin and I did was perfecto – totally going to make it again and it was definitely a hit – with nearly 2.7kg of briskety goodness nearly all gone! Check out the delicious recipe we used here! I hope you all had a fabulous day filled with awesome food, jolly tummies and plenty of laughter! It is one perfect way to top off the year that was! Now I can’t wait for Christmas the 2nd with hubby’s family on Monday where we get to do all of it over again 😀 xx |
