goals & inspirations 2016 (the circle link up)

Well this year is flying by and its definitely a year that I want filled with completed goals! Goals that are checked off my list and left me filling accomplished and fulfilled!  Not just the usual of me saying I want to do this, add it to the list, keep looking at it, talk about and not actually do it.

No sirree, this year – you little 2016 – you are mine! I spoke about how 2016 is mine just the other day, here!

So linking up with Kiki over at In Its Time blog and her co-host Shea from Shea Lennon to write about all things Goals & Inspo for 2016!

goals (1)

HEALTHY > New year, usual ‘need to get fit’ blah blah.  But this year can be your year! Why wait to get healthy or to have the body you’ve always wanted.  You can do anything you put your mind to. Have confidence in yourself and your abilities!
And thats exactly what I’m going to try and do this year, starting last night!  I’ve even taken that dreaded before shot to motivate me!  Signed up with Kayla Itsines program/app (with the motivation of Naomi from Blue Sky Promisesand first day waking up early and exercising has happened!  This year is my year to feel good and get rid of that belly poonch that I so hate!

ROAD TRIPS > What is better than being confined in a car with someone you love and they have nowhere to go but listen to your singing and life ramblings!?
Love a good road trip with the husband and I want to do more of these this year.  Drives to the beach at least once a month and places we’ve never seen before that are all in driving distance from home.

STUDY >  You are never too old to learn something new.  Your brain can expand and learn more than you ever imagined if you just put your mind to it and focus!
This year, my brain will hopefully be learning new things as I start studying to be a Primary Teacher!  With a little bit of full time work on the side!

BE PRESENT > So much of our time is spent flitting from one thing to the other and getting distracted constantly.  Be present and in the moment.  Really listen.  Really take it in.  Really breathe in the moment!
This is so my intentional act this year.  Every single thing I do, completely submerse myself in the moment without the distractions of phones, cameras etc

HOME > The home is a haven.  Where you can unwind and completely be yourself.
This year I want to spend more time at home.  We pay a mortgage and it feels like we aren’t even there half the time.  I need to relax and enjoy the home we’ve created.  Improving, renovating and getting it exactly the way we want it.

FAITH > Reading the word of God is the biggest motivator and inspiration of them all. More, more, MORE!
I need and want more of His centering spirit in my life! It guides me and pours out of me when I immerse myself in His word.  Relationships, love, patience.  Everything just flows so much better when I am reading the word and praying every day!

2016! You are another year to grow and tick those goals!

  1. Hi Finley! I found you through The Circle. These are awesome goals! I am planning on making healthier choices this year as well. And YES to being present! I want to have more quality time this year rather than having so much to do that I cannot give quality time to those I love most.

  2. I absolutely love your goals and I can totally relate with what you said in that first paragraph! That’s usually me too–but not this year! This will be the year to get stuff done, I feel it! I love your “be present” goal–that’s something I need to be better at and I love that it will be your focus for the year.
Thanks for linking up and sharing your goals!

  3. I absolutely positively love every single one of your goals. From the home (my favorite place to be!), to being present (definitely related to my goal of being still this year), learning more, and road trips. I am REALLY hoping to travel more this year and roadtrips are the way to do it. 🙂

Thanks for linking up! I’m excited to see what God’s got in store for you this year. 🙂

I would love for you to leave a reply here
